Constructivist theory,
starting with Piaget, has been adopted, adapted, modified and applied by
many theorists. Some of these theorists have been scrutinized for
alleged political or religious conversion agendas. I believe that
educators must know as much as possible about all the theories at our disposal.
At the same time, we must make sure that we are familiar enough with a
theory to support our application (or dismissal) of it. I have listed below, some
of the best sites I've found that tackle the theory of "Constructivism."
As educators we are the final judge of exactly how we approach teaching
our students. This decision can be made only by close examination.
